In today’s world we are faced with a plethora of money-minded matters. Americans are urged to save for retirement, support local economy, get our health check-ups, donate to charity, obtain a college education, and the list goes on.
I’m a Midwesterner. I was raised by frugal-minded Iowan parents in a household on a budget. Coupon-clipping, sales-watching, money-saving parents they were, and still are today.
But I enjoy fashion and dining out, and, like so many others, have a penchant for entertainment and travel. Surprisingly, though, saving money and spending money do not have to be conflicts of interest.
It is my personal mission to share my frugal findings to the LA community. My goal is to make living a seemingly lavish life, whether in LA or elsewhere, plausible, while still remaining stringent on stashing away cash.
Value is a powerful thing. A penny saved is truly a penny earned.
